Discipleship 101, Call To Discipleship

  Jesus presents His Prime Directive to His disciples saying, “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19,20. NKJV). The making of disciples will establish and sustain the Church (The Body of Christ). Additionally, in the book of Acts. Jesus gives the final aspect of His Prime Directive. He states, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

The Body of Christ (The Church) is formed of disciples. Disciples are those who believe the Gospel. Believing disciples are witnesses and trust in Jesus Christ the Messiah.
